I love this saying and had it on my living room wall cut with the cricut out of vinyl for a while but I have textured walls and the vinyl didn't stick very well. So I bought a frame and cut new letters and designs using the Close To My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I also used my fav bulk CTMH ribbon, Chocolate Stripe. I love the finished project and can't wait to put this in my den. BTW - sorry for the glare on the pictures but I had already put everything together when I took the pictures.

Memory Game and Elemental

This cute My Creations Memory Game is one of the make-n-takes we made last summer at the CTMH Convention. We didn't finish the inside cards and I finally got mine done. I made a "Month Match" game for my granddaughter. Addison is not quite old enough to play it yet but we'll have a great time together sometime in the future! Rock The Block

Designer Tag Stationary

Here are a couple moe cards I made for Amanda and Amy's stationary stocking stuffers. I used the Dreamin' level 2 paper pack and lots of CTMH metal embellishments. The letters are from the Eclectic Alphabet that has four resist patterns on them. After I inked them, I covered them with liquid glass. These were fun cards to make for my girls and I love the finished product!

And... B is for Black and Barrett, making stationary for my girls stockings was easier with them have the same initials. This pattern is from the Close To My Heart Wishes how to book. I used the Roxie paper pack and embossed the initials with black. Using the CTMH how to books makes my projects so much faster when I don't have to come up with my own card layout. I just use their measurements and cutting instructions and I'm done in a hot minute. I am really pleased with the finished cards.

Believe Christmas card

This is the 3rd of 4 Christmas cards I made this year for family and friends. It is also another quick and easy card I made with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and the coordinating stamp set, Holiday Cheer (B1381). The Christmas tree came from the Tannenbaum (B1361) stamp set and the cheery paper is Believe level 2 (X7145B). I added the bling buttons and pin from the Bling Assortment (Z1466) and Shimmer Brads (Z1349) to finish off this fun card!!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

I love giving handmade cards especially at Christmas! I also love heat embossing on my cards. For this card, I used the Adorn-able (D1446) and Card Chatter-Christmas (D1388) My Acrylix stamp sets on the outside, embossed with silver embossing powder. Then I punched a few white sprigs and coated them with Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1313). Finally, I adhered a few buttons from the Red Assortment Buttons (Z1369) and added a ribbon on top. I used Holiday Commentary Stamp Set (C13799) for the inside sentiment. How do you like my first card of the season?

Snowflake Ornaments

I got the idea for these fun little ornaments online and just thought they were adorable. I punched out the snowflakes and then covered them with CTMHs Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel. I added a little red button and silver bell. Such a simple ornament added a lot of sparkle to my red & white Christmas tree!

This layout uses the Roxie Level 2 paper pack and Roxie Stickease. The bottom embellishment was on a layout in the Fall Idea Book and was so cute I had to use it. The other embellishments are cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. If you are a cricut fan or want to cut beautiful embellishments then this cartridge is a must have. The doily at the top right is so delicate but was so easy to cut using this cartridge. The beautiful roses were just as easy; you cut and roll them up. Easy Peasy! This friday, my baby girl is getting married. We are so lucky to be getting such a great new son. Amanda and I have worked for several months getting things ready and now we're all ready. Generations of Love - Make A Wish Album Contest #5

This layout met the requirement to use only cardstock and stamping and no B&T paper. This layout was easy for me because I had 60 colors of CTMH cardstock to use and found the exact matches for these colorful Easter pictures. I wish for Amanda and Addison to always know they come from a family of love.
(These layouts have all been about the girls, but I do want you to know that Addison has an awesome Dad that she has wrapped around her little, diva finger!)

Make a Wish CTMH 2nd Place Album Contest Winner

The CTMH Conventional Album contest this past summer was "Make A Wish" which was very fitting since we were at Disney where wishes come true! I was so lucky to win 2nd place behind the stamp goddess, Tresa Black. 29 years ago, I wished for a healthy baby girl and God blessed me with my beautiful Amanda. Now, her wish came true with her beautiful daughter, Addison. My theme for this album is what I wish for her and her daughter.

We have guidelines for making each layout. I had to make one layout without any pictures, only journaling. I struggled with this one but when I finally had an idea in my head and put it on paper, I was pleased with the finished product. At least one layout had to be interactive so this page also meets that requirement.

I am truly blessed to have such a great relationship with Amanda and hope this album shows how much I love her and how proud I am to be her mother.

The center of the flower on the right pages is raised and spins. You can't really see in this photo but the clouds are embossed. The sunflowers are made from banner flags that I stamped, cut out and adhered on a circle I punched.

True Fit Folio Mini-Album

CHRISTmas Countdown Memory Match Game!

My granddaughter is only 1 year old but I am going to challenge her to learn her numbers and play this memory match game with me!! I made this cute little game using CTMH's new My Creations Memory Game Box (Z1614) which includes 24 - 3" x 3" chipboard squares in a sturdy chipboard box! I covered the box with Believe Level 2 Paper Pack (X7145B) and Believe Stickease (X7145C). After that, I used lots and lots of bling...buttons, glitter, sparkles, and ribbon because I love to add Brazzle Dazzle to my projects. Let me know what you think about my game!

CHRISTtmas in September!

I made this cute CHRISTmas card using CTMH's super cool Clear Acrylic Cards. I have to admit, when I got my first set of these cards, I was intimidated and didn't know how I could create something wonderful with them. Then, one of the make and take projects at the CTMH convention last year in Washington, DC was a clear card. Oh My Goodness!! I was so sold and so many ideas were just churning in my head. These clear cards make the coolest cards! For this card I used the CTMH super cool 14" ruler with guide holes for evenly spaced stitching, metal straight edge for craft knife cutting, and 1" grid marks to stitch the star design. In the center of my stitching I put a cutout from the Top Coats Icing Overlays (Z1468) and embellished the cover with the Bling Assortment (Z1466), and the Red Collection Designer Ribbon (Z1615). The Bling, Bling on the inside of the card is Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1482). I can see so many uses for this glitter!! What do you think about this clear card? Let me know your thoughts...

A Day at Disney!

I never tire of going to Disney Land. On Wednesday, Allison and I headed out for a day of fun and magic. We were not disappointed. Help Me I Am So Addicted!!!

I am a traditional scrapbooker! When I get home after working on computers all day, after dinner, I want some scissors, paper, tape runners and embellishments to work with on my projects. BUT... In the past 30 days I have created 32 layouts (64 pages) on Studio J and I am an addict!!! I can't help myself - upload photos, pick a paper pack, pick a layout and drag your photos into the photo slots. This is so fast and easy. I hope my addiction does not get out to everyone that believes I spend hours on my layouts! (Hehe - did these in front of the TV). If you want to preserve your family memories but are not into scissors and paper - LET ME SHOW YOU HOW!! Shining Star!

This shining star was make by silver embossing the smooth side of a Milepost Shapes (Z1464) star and adding a Designer Brad (Z1360) for extra Brazzle Dazzle. It doesn't show as clearly in this picture but the holly leaves from the A Holiday (A1115) stamp set are embossed using Olive and Gold for extra sparkle. The tree sparkles are Red Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1484) and the cute little red rug is the pre-stitched Red Designer Ribbon. I think this card is a shining star and finished off my Elemental Display board for CTMH's Convention Extravaganza!

Have you seen our new Color-Ready Alphabet Corks (Z1450) and new Milepost Shapes (Z1464)? Just take a look - these cork letters are very easily colored with markers to perfectly match your card or layout and are adhesive-backed for easy, peasy application. The Milepost Shapes can also be inked up to your perfect color. I stitched around the star and got perfect stitch sizing using CTMH's new Ruler (Z1471). This clear 14" ruler with measurements in inches also has guide holes for evenly spaced stitching, metal straight edge for craft knife cutting, and 1" grid marks. Awesome new tool CTMH!

All Hallows Eve Wall Hanging

This is the project I made to demonstrate at Close To My Heart convention Extravaganza! It is a fun little project that is easy to make for a Halloween decoration. I purchased a plain tile from Lowe's Hardware for .67 for the base and then used the stamp set All Hallows Eve (C1462) for the stamped design.

I stamped the images with VersaMark (Z891) and then embossed with black (Z670) and silver (Z669) embossing powder and heat set using the Craft Heater (Z555). The images take longer to embossed than on paper so just keep holding the heater and give it a minute to heat up the tile.

Next, I sponged the tile using Sunflower Re-Inker (Z2250) first and then just the edges with Sunset (Z2291). This ink takes a while to dry so I placed the tile in my oven warmed to 200 degrees and cooked it for an hour at 200 degrees. The colors will look dull when you take the tile out of the oven but don't worry, the liquid glass brings the color back to life. I let the tile cool before proceeding to the next step.

To finish the wall hanging, I added a few sparkles, and then covered the entire tile with liquid glass. I used a spatula to smooth the liquid glass all the way to the edges and let it sit for 24 hours to completely dry. Finally, I used liquid glass to adhere a ribbon to the back and lined the back with cork board shelf liner. There you go - a beautiful wall hanging for Halloween!! A Holiday in Gold!

This fun little Christmas card was made by gold embossing the holly leaves from the A Holiday stamp set (A1115). This A size stamp is only $6.95 and includes the "merry christmas" too. I folded the leaves around a circle with a 1 1/4" circle punched in the middle. A red cardstock bow, red Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1484) and a few red brads (Z1364) were all I needed to complete my first Christmas card of the year.

Falling for Elemental!

This was a super fun little project using a ton of New CTMH products. The printed paper is Elemental Level 2 Paper Pack (X7141B) embellished with Mischief Complements Rub-On (X7144C), Mini-Medley Accents Collection Olive (Z1489) and our super cool Designer Wooden Buttons (Z1387). The album is made using the My Creations Mix & Mingle Album. This album includes 3 clear and 5 white chipboard pages in 4 die-cut shapes for eye-popping variety!

I am so happy and I love this layout using our NEW Elemental Level 2 Paper Pack (X7141B) and highlighted the flowers and flourishes with Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1484). This picture is from our vacation to Siesta Keys, FL last August.

Believe Clear Acrylic Card with Bling!

This is another card I made for my display boards at Close To My Heart's convention. I have always loved our Clear Cards (Z1309) and could wait to make one with the NEW Believe Level 2 paper pack (X7145B). Our new Top Coats Icing Overlays (Z1468) were a perfect match for the blue paper and then I used the Designer Brads (Z1360), Bookplates (Z1147), Bitty Sparkles (Z1263), and Red Collection Designer Ribbon (Z1615). Finally I trimmed the card edges with Silver Glitz Glitter Gel. CTMH has had Stardust Glitter Gel for a while and has now added Red, Bronze, and Silver to the Glitz collection. I love to use them all to add a little brazzle, dazzle to my art. Have you tried our Glitz Glitter Gel yet? If so, let me know how you like it. If not, then let me get you some right away!!

This is another project for the Close To My Heart Convention Extravaganza Class - "Adding Brazzle Dazzle to your Art" that I did for my display boards. I wanted to demonstrate that you do not have to use this paper pack for Halloween. All I did was add some embossing and color cardstock to end up with this very elegant card! I used the Mischief Level 2 Paper Pack (X7144B) and embossed THANKS with Silver Embossing Powder (Z669). Next I added BLING, BLING of Heirloom Assortments (Z1635), Bling Assortment (Z1466), Bitty Sparkles (Z1263) and Green Collection Designer Ribbon (Z1615). I love the change up for this Halloween paper - let me know what you think!!!

This is a cute invitation I made also using the new Mischief Level 2 Paper Pack (X7144B) and the Mischief Felt Shapes (Z1462). Stardust Glitter Gel (Z1213) gives the candles their sparkling glow. You will see and feel a nice surprise when you get your hands on our new B & T papers, as they are now cardstock weight!! That's right, our papers have a little more junk in their trunk and are heavy enough to be used as a base page for layouts and will cut beautifully with the cricut without tears. How super cool is that???

I used Close To My Hearts new Mischief Level 2 Paper Pack (X7144B) a little different this time to preserve my memories from last Halloween's party with friends. The coordinating embellishments added the perfect "spookiness" for these Halloween ghouls. I stamped the spider web from the All Hallows Eve (C1462) stamp set and then embossed the it using VersaMark (Z891) and White Daisy embossing powder (Z673). Next, I dabbed on a little Stardust glitter gel (Z1313) and made the web line down to the rub-on spider (X7144C). The library books are our new rub-ons too. The dimensional black embellishments are the new Midnight felt shapes(Z1462). The fire tips on the felt candlesticks are sparkles (Z1263) colored with Honey (Z2262) and Sunset re-inkers (Z2291). I am very please with the finished layout from my fall "Fright Night"! Don't you just love this new paper and embellishments!!

These are a few more Rehearsal Layouts that I did of Amy and Jeffrey's wedding. I won the large chip board X and O at a crop and wasn't sure exactly how I could use them but knew I could work them into the wedding in some way. After re-arranging the layouts many times, I was very please with the final layout. Let me know what you think and how you would have used these very large dimensional elements. One page also features their wedding invitation. I made 100 of these and thought they blended perfectly with their "jungle", "bamboo" theme. (They met on the tropical island of Guam so that was their theme.)

This is my MIRACLE workshop for June and it is really a miracle workshop. The new color ready borders are really the bomb. I used Easter pictures of Addison to complete this beautiful 4 page layout. This was a super fun art piece that I made to submit to Close To My Heart with my application to be an Extravaganza instructor. As most of you know, I was selected to be an instructor this summer at the CTMH convention in Anaheim, CA. I am so excited that I was selected
This fun piece was made using our mini-medley album and one of my favorite paper packs, Mayberry. I used our awesome stampable canvas buttons to create the bunny. I love the finished piece and can't wait to hang it in my studio! What do you think about this hanging?

I made this card using CTMH's Originals Cards How To Book, Ribbon Winner pattern, and Sweetheart level 2 paper pack (X7134B). I got the instructions for the stamped/embossed background from Jeanette Lynton's blog and love the new technique she shared. The roses are cut and wrapped from cardstock, accented with Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1313) and have Opaque Pearls (Z1336) in the center. The stamp sets are: Amore (D1445), Wings (B1376), Simple Memories (D1472), and Unity (C1422). I am really please with my finished product. Do you ever use our card How To Books? So Ready For Spring

I had so much fun making this wall hanging with CTMH's My Creations Mix and Mingle Album (Z1334)! The Mayberry level 2 paper pack (X7136B) featuring the vibrant colors of honey, olive and smoothie had the perfect spring palate. I adhered the cardstock and B&T paper using Bonding Memories Glue (1512) and then stamped, embossed, and cut out images for embellishments. I used the following stamp sets: Sophia (B1379), In the month of March (C1404), In the month of April (C1405), In the month of May (C1415), and Mayberry (B1380). Finally, the adorable bunny was made from our new stampable, canvas buttons (Z1397). How do you like my project that got me ready for spring?

Girls these buttons are fantastic. I lost my voice for a week and was just getting it back when Gary shot this video so "bear" with my scruffy voice!

UPDATE: Ok girls - this is an update to my original post - I admit that I came home from a weekend scrapbook retreat sick with broncitis and had to get this video made for CTMH. I was worried about my hoarse voice and my husband's video skills but since I felt so bad, I was only giving this one shot. I had problems getting this into a format that I could post here and when I finally did, I had no time left. I had to go to work. When I listened to it and noticed that my dog, Storm, was howling in the background I just had to roll in the floor laughing and hoped that no one else would notice. I was wrong. All of my friends have texted, emailed and called me laughing up a "Storm". We did not notice when we were making the video that she was outside howling at a fire truck. So, watch the video, laugh with me and remember that our canvas button really are totally awesome!
